Weirdo Monday

I like weird news. It's actually the only news I'm happy to read most of the time. So today I wanted to share with you some weird news going around the internet lately. And you are free to click whatever you find interesting!

HERE is a story about a fox who shot his hunter in the leg. Right on you fuzzy little bastard.

UNDERPANTS that give men more booty.

THERE is a woman who likes to eat foam couch cushions. *snicker*

Awe a CROCODILE ate a cellphone and now is feeling listless and in pain. I hope they can help him!

You can all keep your HICKEYS away from me. I want no stroke like this woman.

THIS Great Dane was rescued from a ravine after 16 days of being stuck! Not weird so much as just amazingly great news for the pretty pup!

A woman finds 280,000$ worth of drugs in a vacuum.

Going to prison in RUSSIA wont be so bad for your tan pretty soon.

A SWISS village is calling in on a 1904 law that says they can kill your pup if you don't pay.

THIS woman is arrested for "slapping" a horse. Wait, I'm sorry, a POLICE horse.

Some dream of a Disney wedding, on the beach, by the Niagara Falls, in a huge chapel. And, apparently, some would be happy with a MCDONALDS wedding in Hong Kong.

VAMPIRE flying frog discovered. Also a SOLAR powered hornet  has been discovered. We're doomed.

HERE you can see the top 10 discoveries of 2010. Pretty damn cool!

The Austria OBAMA robber hits banks.

Man tries to sell FAKE gold to a police chief. Derrrp.

Fake ER VALET steals a pregnant woman's car. What a jerk.

I highly suggest looking into weird news if you don't already. Otherwise you miss out on some...gems. *snicker* Heard any strange news lately?

Happy Monday!

  1. :shakes head: It's a weird world we live in. Did you hear about the woman who was surfing a missing child website and found her own baby picture? Turns out she was abducted at 3 wks old from NYC and raised in Connecticut as this other woman's natural baby.

  7. Love those Colene. The woman who eats couch cushions was on a special they're doing (on TLC on cable I think) on weird addictions. I saw one where the girl tanned 3 times a day, 20 minutes each time. She was so gross looking. And then there was a lady who ate household cleaner and her teeth were rotting out. Anyway, then they had a preview for the couch cushion girl. OOh, and they had a lady who was obsessed with vetriliquism and carried her dolls around all the time. SO weird.

  13. What an awesome freaking fox! But that's such a creepy pic they showed in the article. OMG, and the horse slapper - I love that they are pressing charges. And she was just "moving his face out of the way". Great excuse, I'll have to remember that one :)

  22. Okay, I like a nice butt as much as the next girl, but I've never once not dated a guy because he didn't have a booty.

I would, however, choose not to date someone who felt he needed to add a fake tush into his jeans.

This is what we get for all those years of wonderbras. Men are fighting back.

  28. I heard about the hickey story. They said it is the first recorded history of a hickey causing a minor stroke. Wouldn't you just love to be in the record books for THAT?

  29. Ha, these are hilarious! It's great for writing ideas too! Cool! :-)

  30. What a cunning fox. I can empathise with that foam eating woman as sometimes the setting foam they spray into car bodies looks like the inside of a Crunchie bar! Yum! ;O)

  31. Strange, strange things going on in the world, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Your lead story was probably the best, but I do like the vampire frog too.

  33. We're not doomed with the solar powered hornet as long as we only go out at night...like the vampire frogs...Loved that story about the fox shooting the hunter - hey jackass, how does it feel to have a bullet in you?? And keep the drugs, I want the vacuum cleaner with 280,000 DOLLARS in it.

  34. Editing is tough! I seriously don't know the answer to those questions. I worry about that all the time. I guess the only thing you can do is save drafts (in case you need to go back to something) and remember if you feel better about what you've written after you're done revising, then your change was probably good.

Yeah, that's the cruddy "you just know" answer. It's awful. I wish there was a mathemathical formula or something.

Oh, maybe there is... did you check out Writing Great Books for Young Adults by Regina King. There are some good lists in there that you can go through and kind of make sure you're hitting important points and such. I just finished it and I plan on going back to it a lot!
